Signs of Spring-Photo Editing Brings Spring to Winter Photo

by on Feb.29, 2012, under crop photos, photo color

CorrectPhoto was used to crop and color correct the Winter Tree photo

Last night a bit if winter hit Minnesota with a mix of rain, sleet, snow. As I let Dickens (he is a Westie) out the front door I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the maple tree in the yard. I used my little Canon G5 with an external flash to capture the photo. As you can see the original was still a bit dark and wintery, but with a little cropping and color correction the colors of spring where quite evident. With CorrectPhoto I cropped the photo to get rid of the sidewalk and the branch on the left. Then I clicked on the snow and OneClick did a great job of brightening the image and bringing out the color in the branches. Then, to give it a bit more punch, I click on the Color Enhancement mode and boosted the brightness, contrast, and saturation and was good to go. The process took less than a minute.

You can try CorrectPhoto on your own photos by going to www.correctphoto.com.
