CorrectMyPhotos Blog’s purpose is to help amateur photographers who have a digital camera but don’t have a clue what to do with it. It is for my friends who call and ask, “How do I …….?–well, you can fill in the blanks. Young folks are certainly welcome, but this blog is really for the baby boomers and us older guys and gals who didn’t grow up with computers and cameras that make you look at a little screen to take a picture.  We will cover all kinds of topics related to digital photography ranging from how to take better pictures, getting them into and out of your computer, to photo editing and ordering prints online, and using your iPhone or iTouch to show off your photos.

This is my first attempt at blogging so this will be an evolutionary journey.  I welcome your comments and suggestions and, hopefully, readers will contribute some of their ideas that make the world of digital photography more enjoyable and less frustrating.

This is the first post. I will tell you a little more about me and my involvement with digital photography in future posts.  I invite you to visit my blog regularly.

Regards,

Wayne Huelskoetter, PictoColor Corporation, www.pictocolor.com, www.correctphoto.com

Thanks for starting this site. I have several acquaintances who do not use the camera they received for Christmas for the very reasons you stated. Although I am of the ‘older’ generation as well, my job required an everyday exposure to computers. i use PS Elements, and now CS3, but for the casual snapshot of the grandkids, what you really need is, as you mentioned, an easy to use camera that takes little or no knowledge to operate in its basic modes. Alas, you also need to get on the web to see this site, but that’s another story. I always wondered who kidnapped Boudiceia (my Westie). Now I know. She’s a beautiful dog. Good luck.

Thanks for the encouragement, Jim. I hope this blog can help your friends and mine get more enjoyment from their digital cameras. Since you are a Photoshop user you might be interested in a simpler way to correct color. At http://www.pictocolor.com you will find color correction plug-ins that make the job of color correction very easy and the color is excellent.
I’ll tell my little buddy, Dickens, about your westie.
